Signature de livres - deuxième édition de "FAST CITY" le jeudi 5 septembre

Pour commémorer le 20e anniversaire du premier livre de Morten "FAST CITY" (Auto-publié / Hit Me! Oslo, novembre 1999) et le lancement de la deuxième édition à Paris (publié par Forlaget Fotografi May 2019)

L'idée de l'exposition est de commémorer le 20e anniversaire de "FAST CITY", son premier livre, de présenter à Paris les photographies d'époque qui ont donné naissance à ce livre et de lancer la seconde édition à Paris. Cette seconde édition a été lancée en mai 2019 au Nordic Light Festival · Kristiansund, Norvège.

"FAST CITY" est devenu une référence en matière de photographie. Il a été l'un des premiers livres à inclure à la fois des photographies couleur et noir et blanc. Depuis son édition il y a près de 20 ans, "FAST CITY" inspire les photographes qui veulent tenter d'adopter ce mélange. Ce livre est plus que les courants nommés "American City-Noir" et la "photographie de rue de nuit" Japonaise. Le style de photographie de Morten Andersen continue d'influencer particulièrement les européens notamment les scandinaves ainsi que les photographes du monde entier.

Pour nous, à in)(between, son style se situe dans la lignée de notre appétence pour ce courant de photographie japonaise et avec cette exposition (sa troisième à in)(between), nous visons à placer "FAST CITY" au côté des classiques Japonais.

En plus de l'exposition et de la présentation de la seconde édition de "FAST CITY", nous produirons des sérigraphies en éditions limitées de la photographie représentée sur la couverture du livre.

Book signing - second edition of "FAST CITY" on Thursday 5 September

The idea of the exhibition is to commemorate the 20th anniversary of FAST CITY, his first book, and bring to Paris the photographs that created that book and launch the second edition in Paris - The second edition was launched this May at the Nordic Light Festival · Kristiansund, Norway

In addition to the exhibition and presenting the second edition of FAST CITY, we will produce limited edition silkscreens of the photograph used on the book cover.

FAST CITY has become a benchmark on photography, it was one of the first books to include colour photographs with black and white - that is something that after 20 years of its first edition photographers still try to implement in their books. This book is more than what is known as American City-Noir and Japanese constracted night street photography and Morten's style of photography keeps influencing especially European including Scandinavian and some photographers from all over.
